“We’ve deliberately designed it to stop just above the foot. Our logic is that since the vast majority of triathletes don’t wear socks, you can train and race in them and reap the benefits of its compressor factor. It features Curvilinear™ seam lines and contrast micro flatstitching.”

Can you tell us how sizing goes on the 2009 Compressor Leg Sleeves ?
The size info does not list these (unless I am blind, which is quite possible).
I had the same question. I emailed contact@desotosport.com , received a reply in 2 minutes (expected great service). They had me supply them with the measurement of my calf circumference, height and weight and then shot me back a size recommendation again in minutes.
FYI- I am 5’10’ 175 with 15.5" calf circumference and the recommended size is medium.
Hope this helps.
P.S. I received the UPS tracking number that they went out the same day.
Uhg, totally didn’t think I was going to spend 60 bucks today. I love compression and these look like a great product so I’m going to give them a shot. I also bought the “A chemical romance between speed and endurance” tshirt that’s on sale, since it’s cool looking.
I’ll get back with my initial thoughts on the product later.
And it’s correct, during the sprints I never wear socks. Plus if I do wear them, they are the very short ones so I’ll still be able to wear these with socks.
What I like about this design is it allows you to wear whatever kind of sock you want (or none) and you can wear them from the start of the swim, so you don’t need to spend time putting them on in transition. I used a pair from 2XU (same style) at IMC and they worked great.
yes, but…if I’m not mistaken (tell me if I am) all the research that has been done on compression shows it aids in recovery AFTER the event, not during.

But there is very little research on it’s effect during an event. I find it hard to believe that increased blood flow is not going to help during a four hour marathon.
They are also said to support the muscle (thus preventing jolting) and aid the blood flow. I was glad that I wore mine on race day at Alpe d’Huez tri (until I saw the photos).
