Is anyone running the “That Dam Run” (1/2 marathon or 5k) this coming Sunday?

Nope, already drove down to Cherry Creek for the duathlon this past weekend. Going skiing this weekend. Will be doing the half in Golden on the 22nd of next month though I think. If you do that one, look for the guy in bright orange shorts.

That course doesn’t even come close to the City of Golden, you got me all excited, but alas, it’s just unincorporated JeffCo with a journey into Arvada. Looks like a brutal profile, elevation loss the whole first half and then gain it all back on the second half.
There’s a guy in Golden that has been trying for years to get a half down Clear Creek Canyon into Golden but apparently disrupting traffic on 6 on a Sunday morning for 2 hours will crush the gambling trade…

Ah, glad you said something. I was already skeptical about the $60 price tag (I do not want a finisher’s medal or t-shirt). I don’t much care for running downhill on road and -2.2% is fairly significant. Girlfriend wants to do it though, so might just go for a long run there instead.
