This guy is a…uh…force to be reckoned with.
The party elites are none too happy about this.

I’m not going to come down on this too hard cause I can see how some might “Slip thru the cracks”. On top of that I think there is probably some good when you start getting complete non insiders running and winning.
OTOH it befuddles me that we’ve had two cases of “rogues” recently, both end up with shady pasts and…well…not the sharpest crayon in the box.
We recently had a wife beater, pawn shop owner in a relationship with a prostitute…not that there’s anything wrong with that, win the dem nom for lieutenant governor in Illinois.
Sad thing when all that came out it didn’t sound as bad as what all the other politicians in this state do on a daily basis.

Sounds like all he did was steal the moves Eddie Murphy used in The Distinquished Gentleman.
Vote for Jeff Johnson.
“TARP? What’s that… I’ll have to look into that and get back to you.”
Hilarious!
I’ll point out that despite the Tea Party “regular guy” ethos, almost every so-called “Tea Party candidate” appears to me to be another slick, polished politician latching. This dudes an honest-go-god regular guy. He could easily take down Joe the Plumber in regularness.
But I put him at least one step above Palin and Plumber because he’s a vet.

I bet both Palin and Joe the Plumber knew what TARP was. IIRC neither have pending felony charges against them either. Although I can’t remember if Palin was cleared on some of the stuff she was up on or not.

I think a TARP is what you use to contain the innards when you’re field-dressing a moose.
Work with me, I was being facetious. Except about the vet part.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell here. You could put mother Theresa up against Satan himself and you could bet you arse if one was a Pub and the other Dem someone here would be saying that Satan was a better person than mother Theresa ![]()

There was a thread here a few months back where that was basically said. So yep, you’re right.

I vaguely remember a thread about that. Something along the lines that she wasn’t all that “Good”. I’m not sure it was a direct comparison to voting for Satan or MT though ![]()

Whooooooaaaaa there cowboy. You are ridiculing a guy who has no political background whatsoever, no previos elected office, no previous runs at office, who came out of nowhere to win an election for not knowing that TARP is? I seem to recall you wingnuts wanted to put the former Governor of Alaska a hearbeat (and not a particularly strong one at that) away from the Oval Office, and she had never heard of the Bush Doctrine.
Get that log out of your eye before you go after the splinter in his.
Why oh why do you keep harping on Palin being a heartbeat away from the presidency, when you voted for a guy who hasn’t run anything in his life and his biggest claim to fame is being a community rabble rouser? How is having that much inexperience as president better than having Palin as vice-president?
Please answer that question, I bet you can’t.
I’m not ridiculing this guy per se–the tarp comment notwithstanding–but I do find it quite funny that the liberal establishment seems to think that they AGAIN know better than the people.
The left now has their own Joe the Plumber, but as you would expect they don’t want jack shit to do with this guy.
He’s not part of the club.
Not that I disagree the party would prefer their main candidate - but you think the fact the guy has an outstanding felony charge against him might make them a wee bit leery of throwing their weight behind his candidacy?
Something is fishy with this guy…
He is unemployed yet puts up $10k to run for office?

I just watched Olbermann interview him live on Countdown.
Oh. My. God.
Details??
A little like the tail end of “Cheers” when Woody got elected to Boston city council. But worse…
