Deeper Wheel Set (?) for Cervelo P-Series

Looking at getting a 2025 Cervelo P-Series, which comes with 52/63 Reserve wheels. I was thinking about swapping those wheels for the 77/88 Reserve wheels. Welcome input from those that have the 77/88 wheelset or similar deep rim’ed aero wheels. Is 77 a bit too much to have as your everyday front wheel on a Tri bike ?

Have you got any other wheels on anything? I’ve 75 deep Aeous weels (F&R) and for gusty days I’ve been happy putting my Roval Rapide CLXii on the front. Left the rear on there though. Still get a few nudges but the nature of the Rovals is specifically tuned to be benign in gusts.

Personally, I’d not leave myself with no shallow option. But then equally I live/train/race in a place where strong winds are relatively common.

I ride my tri bike - a 2023 P Series - exclusively with 60/80 wheels. I have no shallow training wheels. by the book people might say that’s not ideal, esp since I"m a small rider (145 lbs).

Life’s too short to not ride nice equipment, i say go for it, get what you want, and enjoy! yes, if you live somewhere where high winds are a regular occurrence and you lack adequate bike handling skills, maybe work on those skills…but again I say go for it.
