Dee-cal. I’ve never heard someone say deck-ul. Google says you’re wrong, too.

Decalogue is “deck-ul-og” though. The ‘dec’ there is for ‘ten’ (decimeter etc.)

we use the metric system dimwit. A decimetre is 10
cm. And it’s dess-e-metre.

No clue what a Decalogue is.

And go.

Huh? Never heard of your version. Dee-cal. Canadians are weird.

Deck-ul. Don’t listen to the americans. They still use the imperial system.

As far as I can tell, the Americans, the Brits, the Australians, and basically everyone else who speaks English says “dee-kal.” Even in Canada, it seems like it’s only some of you weirdos who pronounce it incorrectly.

You’re right about dess-e-metre. I’ll propose “decagon” for dec as deck.

I saw a Twitter poll on this today. 81% say deck-ul. Of course it was a Canadian who posted it.

I just asked the wife: deck-ul.

“Why? Is there some other way of saying it?”

“Yeah, dee-cal”

“That’s… awful”.

And go.

Oh and the correct answer is deck-ul.
