D2 shoe owners...arch cleats...reviews?

I’m considering getting a pair of D2’s with midsole cleats for my Speedplays. I tried a pair I cyborged from old Shimano’s and they are awesome for me, but they are on no float SPD’s.

As I’m unaware of anyone who does the kind of midsole drilling I’m looking for…can anynoe shed light on the love/hate of their D2’s?

Alternatives?

I already use the Speedplay fore/aft adjustment plate, but it’s not enough for my tastes…next stop is custom cleats on D2’s.

These are pro triathlete Jim Vance’s custom D2’s(pic taken from Joe Friel’s site) and is what I’m shooting for…

Take a look at Bont. They can be easily redrilled to move the cleats back.

What is Bont.?

Bontrager?

x2 bonts are badass!!!
.

Thanks again for the 3T…perfect fit in both rise and 130…bingo.

I can’t tell by looking at the pics of these Bontragers if they would allow redrilling or not? Do you see enough sole width towards the arch to be able to fit a 3 hole Look style plate?

Here is a pic of Jim Vance’s D2’s with custom arch cleat placement…
