Cyclist killed in Austin, TX, in hit and run, on 360

The drivers in Austin are getting out of control, and I have noticed a correlation to the heat and the stupidity of drivers. I think it makes them irrational. Whenever the weather heats up for the first time, we will always have a crazy car wreck to respond to. Last night, one of our fire engines was rear ended at full speed while stopped on IH 35 to help out another motorist. The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured and his truck became blended with the back of the fire engine, but c’mon, how dumb or drunk do you have to be to swerve around cop cars and cones and then smack into a fire engine?

I take too many risks as it is when I am biking, and this is just a reminder that Austin is not as bike friendly as it once was.
