I wear Native Apres. Not a sponsor. (if anyone from Native is on this - I would gladly accept other versions for my races :0). I always seem to get a lot of people asking me about them)
- Native isn’t well known (yet) around tri circles but they are up-and-coming. Originally they were big for hunting and other outdoor activities - they are starting to make in-roads with running and other types of activities.
- I think they are great for biking (and running) especially for aero helmets where your head is down but your eyes are up. You are able to get a nice wide view.
- They are light, fit nicely on my nose and ears - and they have proper venting. The only times I ever notice fogging are on colder days when I am slowly running uphill and breathing slows. Once I breath normally, the fogging disappears. I’ve never noticed fogging on the bike.
- They have interchangeable lenses
- Priced really well. Usually somewhere around $100, but if you catch it good, you can find them around $80.

Several choices, inexpensive, interchangeable lenses, and decent visual acuity.
I came in here to post this, but he probably needs the v90s and not the v90 max models.
Anyways, best sunglasses I’ve ever owned for cycling/running. And interchangable lenses.
Yeah, I realized he would not want the Max due to the small/medium face requirement after I posted. The Max is the one that’s on sale though
I have a ridiculous small face and I bought 2 pair of Vinci multilens cheap and good quality…love them!

I completely agree. Best part is there’s full coverage and no bridge to look through/over when aero.
- depends on whether you want to *look *good or *see *good?
- Fogging will happen on any glasses given the right temperature and humidity conditions.
I use, love, and recommend Oakley M-Frames. They have a million frame colour choices, lens shapes and lens colours to choose from. Sunglassesgiant.com or somewhere similar probably has them cheap enough.
The M-Frames are great for aerodynamics and by that I don’t mean they lower your Cd, but they stop the wind getting in your eyes. This feature also tends to lead to fogging in some situations as there isn’t as much relatively dry ambient air to flush out the warmer more humid air behind the sunnies. That said, I really only notice that on cold damp mornings when I’m riding hard, generating heat and sweat, and stop at at traffic light. When I start riding again, they clear up almost instantly.
They aren’t the coolest or most modern, but they work great and are awesome to look through and ride with.
I’m cheap when it comes to sunglasses, because invariably they will get lost, broken or scratched.
I got these recently, both of which fit a med to small face, and both of which I like. I have one set up with clear lenses and the other with dark lenses so I don’t have to hassle with swapping. $65 for two pair.

Tifosi Tyrant photochromatic - $70 at REI, probably less expensive elsewhere. A tiny bit big for my small face, but great wind coverage, resistant to fog and I didn’t really appreciate the photochromatic stuff until I had them. I wear contacts and wear sunglasses even if it’s not sunny for wind protection, especially on the bike. Grey day, no problem. Sunny - OK, tooo. I’m impressed with customer service - I took a digger and busted a pair last summer - a month old. They didn’t HAVE to do anything, but probably felt sorry about my busted arm and provided a replacement pair for cheap. Terrific!
Anyone ever used Ryder’s glasses? They seem to be a pretty good price and have polarized and photochromic lenses, but I’ve never seen anyone wear them.
Tifosi Vogel Fototec. Frameless and photochromic. Great.
I haven’t read the whole thread, but I’ll chime in with Tifosi. They’re great glasses, durable, and under $100.
They make both the interchanging and light-sensitive lenses.

While at the hardware store the other day, I found myself with ~$3.50 worth of screws, and I thought that it would be bad form to pay such a small amount with a credit card. I combed the store to grab a few more trinkets and doo-dads. Among the extras I bought was a pair of tinted safety glasses for $3.99 (that I thought would be useful at my job - which requires safety glasses).
As it turns out, these glasses are ideal for cycling. They look decent, don’t fog, and they have perfect tint (that can work in low light levels or bright conditions).
They are called “Max Force”. Check out your local TruValue store.
.
No interchangeable lenses, but at $1.65 to $2.70 each, buy several different colors.

Honestly, these block 99% of UV rays and exceed ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 standards for safety goggles. I have several of the larger size and have noticed minimal distortion (yes, I check). Why pay more for less protection?
Browse around for a style you like, sure, but at least consider spending much less.
