I’m looking for advice on a good pair of cycling sunglasses that help to keep the wind out of your eyes.
I currently have the bolle draft and they are okay. It’s hard to find ratings on this issue!
I figured some with bigger lenses may work:
- bolle 6th sense: reviews say they are ultra windy (great if you fog up though).
- Oakley jawbreaker: no idea
- Smith Pivlock Max: no idea
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Smiths get my vote. Very good coverage and the lack of a top frame ,
Makes them great for low head positions…
I have the Oakley jawbreakers and really bad allergies. Never had a fogging issue and I have not had an issue with wind at all. I really like them.
tifosi podiums are good too; i have worn contacts forever and occasionally get dry eye, but not so far with these.
Podiums come in three different sizes/shapes to try, and they also offer photochromic lenses.

Just picked up the new Rudy Tralyx. Very large lens and very lightweight. LOVE them.
Same issues and looked into different options. Pulled the trigger on the jawbreakers and have been very pleased with them. Eyes would water almost every ride and my eyes have not watered once when wearing the jawbreakers. Can’t comment on whether they block view in TT position though.
I have both. I use the Jawbreakers on the roadbike and mountain bike. On the tribike, I get a better forward view with the Pivloks. Well worth the extra investment.
