Cycling Plus TT bike review

Just read this magazine group test of bikes, and thought I’d post some points for your enjoyment. I am in no way linked to the publication, and nor do I care about responses like ‘advertisers always getting good reviews’. This is just for fun, and these are not my opinions

Planet X Stealth Pro 2499 as tested
Kuota K-Factor -1799 as tested
Cervelo P3C - 2499 Frame only.
Guess RB2 TT - 699 as tested

Frame

Handling

Equipment

The PX tested was the Ergomo equipped package. K-Factor came with the ever reliable Ultegra and Syntace Streamliner. Cervelo kitted out with the popular full Dura-Ace option with Pro bars, and the Guess came with a mix of Sora and Tiagra.

Wheels
PX 9/10 Kuota 8/10 Cervelo 9/10 Guess 7/10
PX came with the Reynolds Alta Race
Kuota arrived with the Vuelta Chrome Lite, which at 30mm are not really deep enough to reduce drag by a significant amount. The P3C was built up with a Pro full carbon disc and Mavic Cosmic Carbone front. The reviewer prefered the lenticular Pro disc over other flat sided discs. Makes you wonder what you need to ride to get a 10 in this department.

Verdict
PX 10/10 Astonishing value and the ergomo is worth the extra cost
Kuota 9/10 This Italian smoothie is a peerless long distance speed machine
Cervelo 10/10 The best handling TT bike ever. Brilliant!
Guess 9/10 Solid value and extremely versatile. A converted road bike to prove you can TT on the cheap
