Two of the buttons on my CycleOps pro 300pt computer stopped working, and ive been prowling the internet for a spare one. Even tried Cycleops and was told they didnt sell them anymore, and an upgrade wasnt possible. (which i actually think sux, since its a pretty expensive training tool).
Anyone know where to find a replacement computer ??

My powerbeam has one that looks like the one from my 300PT that I don’t use. I’m not sure if the communication protocol is the same. If it could work let me know.
I’m hoping mine lasts! Let me know if you find one. You may have to buy an entire unit off Ebay to get the head only. I bought my 300 off Ebay last summer and it’s a great piece of equipment for training. But, failure of the head is inevitable, I’m sure. Have you replaced all the batteries?

If I remember correctly, authorized retailers were selling these as current stock less than a year ago (REI, EMS at the minimum); as such how can it be that during the warranty period CycleOps doesn’t have computers which they would need for warranty claims?
The general consensus here is CycleOps has great customer service, so it seems unlikely that they’d have made such a miscalculation. Maybe the rep you spoke with had bad information and another call is warranted. If his information is correct, I’d inquire how they intend on honoring their warranty for recent purchasers. Beyond that, I’d inquire what he thinks you’re supposed to do with a paperweight with a retail price of over $2000 just a year ago.

Got hold of guy who knew a lot more… reffered me to a dealer here in europe. didnt sound like it was a problem at all. pheewwww was afraid of the 2000$ paperweight scenario…
will give a update on the price when i get hold on the dealer.
