Cushy like Hoka, but with some heel drop?

Having some Achilles issues. Hoka have been great for my knees - currently in the conquest - but a little heel drop might help. Looking for a shoe that’s similar to the Hoka ride. I’m a neutral runner with midfoot strike. A generous toebox would be awesome. Any suggestions?

Go ahead and keep the Hokas and just add some heel pads/shims/lifts to them. I hurt my achilles a few years back and kept my shoes. They definitely helped. It’s a cheap fix.

I second the heel wedge. When I got my first pair of Hokas they felt weird so I put in a set of silicone heel wedges that I had from the podiatrist when I injured my achillese. Problem solved.

I rotate with the Skechers Go Run Ultra , they make a Road version now. Cushion, heel drop , I have a wider foot and the toe box is ample enough for me ! Give them a shot and best of luck !

You can check out the Adidas Energy boost.
Also very cushioned but more drop (~10mm).

I cast my vote for the heel wedge, as well. The other shoes suggested are cushioned, but they will pale compared to the Hokas. So if you like the cushy Hoka ride (I sure do!), go with a heel wedge to give you more drop.

If you can find some Saucony Ride 7 … Those are cushy like the Hokas with the heel drop you want.
The Ride 8 has some toe off issues I don’t like. The 9 is a whole new world.
