Just off the wall, sometimes batteries are covered in a plastic film to prevent corrosion during the time it sits on the shelf.
John
so open it and check? this wont void the warranty right lol
nevermind…mechanic did that and nothing…
Just an idea…keep the battery cap off, then press on the battery…downward, maybe side/side…just to see if one direction brings up the spring. From there, maybe you can ID the contact that is the culprit (assuming it’s a contact). If nothing, the most obvious thing exists that we all forget about…just because a battery is new, doesn’t mean it has any juice in it…get a new battery to be sure (I’ve bought things before where the battery is dead from the start). From there, I would have your shop warranty it or Polar can do it quickly I bet (they are getting VERY fast with things…personal experience). And you are pressing red button to turn it on? Just checking, I know you are…but…
hey patrick its most likely a dead battery, it has happened to me before
.
I have nothing new to add to this but support the previous two who state battery. When changing a battery try not to crush any little tabs inside the head unit
Guess Ill call the mechanic and tell him to put a new battery in tomorrow. Brand new out of the display case, sold it saturday.
btw do i know you? lol I’d say Scott but im not sure…
