I found that this does not work well on the uphills.
Gary - you need to tuck your elbows in!
Maybe try some aero bars too! …
this position definitely improves the swim to bike transition, and you can start eating just after the swim

1)Your postition looks pretty good - except for those elbows and point those feet a little more.
2)You could improve the bike aeroness by putting those pedals in the horizontal postion.
3)This is really better suited to woman more than guys.
4)Watch out for those bumps in the road.

#2 - I swear that I will do that on my next IMLP trip down the Keene Hill…I am just about that crazy…I will do it…
Make sure to flutter or scissor kick in that position (make it compact!!!), probably a 2 beat per tire revolution would work well, a 6 beat kick would probably wear you out for the run however.
I think that this position would be more effective on 650’s!
I bet he had this saddle on that bike…and had painted the edges pink
