Crack in foundation/basement with poly urethane flex injection?

We just found out we have a crack in our basement/foundation that is actually leaking.
A foundation repair guy and suggested we could fix from the inside with poly urethane flex injection instead of fixing from the outside.
Inside fix has a 5 year warranty while outside fix has a 10 year warranty. However outside fix will cost at least double.

Does anyone have experience with fixing basements/foundation using poly urethane flex injection? Any other recommendation? Any other advice?

Thanks,
Fred.

Outside fix is always better. The idea is that you don’t want the water running around inside your foundation walls. Stop it before it gets in.

Should be a “as long as you own the house” guarantee from the outside.

I would shop around and get 3 prices for an outside fix if it was me.

I have no idea where you are, but locally I used Mr sponge. Mrsponge.com they use their own formula that stays flexible longer. Amazing process. After he was done we outside, and you could see where some of the foam had actually gone through the concrete and up the outside of the wall (there was foam Outside on the ground) pretty convincing that they filled the crack. He did warn me since the concrete was less than 7 yrs old it was still drying and might separate to much and leak again, if it did it was covered. Sure enough about 4 yrs later had a small leak, he came back and re shot it, been good for about 6 yrs now.

Thanks.
Yes the outside fix is always better. However it would have to wait for the winter to be over if we go the outside route (then we will have to remove part of the deck, very likely a tree…)
We are planning on getting more quotes.

When we bought our house 2 yrs ago - 60+ yr old house - we discovered a crack in the foundation during inspection. We had it repaired using the poly fix, the guy drilled holes to access, then pressure injected the stuff. It pushed right through and oozed out the outside of the foundation. It hasn’t budged, no leaks, no issues.

I think we got a 10-yr warranty on ours, but I’m not certain. Can you call around for different poly dudes? While I agree with the “life of the house” approach, there was no way I was digging up the foundation, and I don’t plan on living there more that 5 yrs or so…

I am in Canada and I do not believe we have Mr Sponge here.

Thanks,
Fred.

Thanks.
Yes I am planning to call around to get other quotes.
It seems to be an “isolated”/“normal” crack (i.e. nothing serious) so while it is better to go with the outside fix, in this case it may not be worth it to digg up the foundation, remove some of the deck and maybe a tree.
