Costco Treadmill?

Anyone purchased a treadmill from Costco? Prices range from $600-$1,500. Interested to hear any feedback about value, durability, etc.

Thanks.

Purchased the Epic 550 from Costco. No problems so far. Have only had a little less than a year. It does get used a lot by my family.

Paid $900. Think it is now $1000. Free shipping.

I actually picked up a Costco treadmill 5 years ago, it was an Epic and I forget the model number. At the time it was on sale for $900 and had more features than anything under the $1500 price point so I got it. I sold it about a year ago with a lot of hours on it and it was still in perfect condition. So I personally think they’re a good value and durability was great for me.

bought esprit et/4 treadmill around $900 and that includes delivery and setup. It has been a year now and still running great. I am not sure what maintenance is required. Does anyone know?

You may need to grease the belt. I never did, and was fine, but apparently its an annual thing and keeps the belt quieter and lasting longer. That’s what customer service at epic told me at least.

Buy a used one on cl
.

We have the Nordictrak C1500. It was about $900 4 years ago. Recently the elevation motor went out. Other than that, flawless with HEAVY use.

I bumped into the manual for my Epic 550 yesterday cleaning up.

There was another thread last week on treadmills so I was curious what maintenance was listed in the manual. There was nothing. I thought maybe with this treadmill I would do maintenance. The last one lasted 15 years and was an inexpensive unit from Sears, Proform. I never did any maintenance. When we took it apart to get it out of the house it was filled with sh*t.

I bought the Nordic Trac 9.8x (3 hp motor, up to 12 mph and 12% incline) for $980 delivered (it was $20 cheaper at the store but, you would need a forklift and big truck to get it home). I don’t think they sell this model anymore but, it is re-badged under the Reebok label. It looks exactly the same as the Nordic Trac and has the same specs. All in all a great machine that gets a lot of use between my wife and I.

In regards to maintenance, I would recommend applying lubrication to the belt deck at least every 100hrs of use. A co-worker of mine had his motor crap out on a similar machine and the maintenance guy said if you lube the deck your motor will last a lot longer since it won’t be fighting the friction every time your foot hits the belt. Be sure not to use a petroleum based lube as it will eat away at the belt/deck. Check out treadmill doctor for tips/product recommendations. The lube is really cheap for what it might save you in a new motor/machine.

Anybody have long term reports on these? We killed a proform after about 1000 miles. Since then we have been using a pacemaster pro select. It has almost 10,000 miles on it (9,602) and still going strong. A better treadmill is definitely worth the investment. About 2,200 new.

I used my Healthrider heavily for about 6 years. I’ve had it 11 years. I replaced the motor twice and the belt three times - all in the first 5 years and fortunately under the extended warranty. I paid about $800 for it back then. Next time it breaks down I will replace it since a new motor is around $250. I would never pay over $1000 for a treadmill today as you can get many good ones in that price range.

+1 - love my 1500, bought the extended warranty and it’s been great. Had a belt issue, they came out and fixed it. Great value.

ummm for 2K Im still on the original motor. If you run hard you need quality. Many 20 milers in the winter. Replacing the motor is crazy only belts and beds should wear out.
