COROS Apex Pro Feedback - pool swimming, foot pod/treadmill

I read DCR’s review of the Apex (not Pro) and poked around on here a bit for information. For current users, any feedback on pool swimming accuracy and does it support foot pod/treadmill/virtual run mode these days?

Thanks in advance.

I have the pace 2. Swimming has been off but only used a handful of times. I think I calibrated it once. I didn’t bother with fiddling with it more since I have Form goggles. I never had issues with my previous garmins. Also, I almost always do open turns. It is much more accurate than my fenix 5 in OWS.

Not sure if they work with footpods. It sense my Runn but doesn’t seem to work on treadmill setting. I’ll try to dig up my old footpod and see if it works. I do know that it works with stryd and they have their own pods.

Also, I was not able to get it to work with my garmin vector 2. I gave up working with their customer service, to much back and forth and didn’t seem to get anywhere. Works fine with my kickr.

I only got the pace because it was much cheaper than a refurbished replacement for my fenix 5. I had a broken altimeter/barometer. Love pace as a running watch, OWS, battery life and price but otherwise prefer garmin.

Swimming (pool) worked great, then they changed the algorithm and it sucked and I think they fixed it again recently.

They just added the ability to broadcast your run metrics from the watch. I imagine you could connect it to something like Zwift now.
It works with foot pods.
I have a Runn sensor which is probably more accurate than the indoor run algorithm.

So it works with Runn? I’ve been lazy-ish to set it up (I did originally with my fenix, but not with coros). Stupidly focused on a run challenge with friends and didn’t want to change things up with my watch midway.

Another question - how’s the vibration feedback for laps (running), etc? I have a Polar Vantage V2 and the vibration is ridiculously weak. It’s pool swimming mode is pretty bad too in my experience.

Vibration is good. Not a feature I like though so I turned it off.
