Corima Red Brake Pads Or SwissStop Yellow

Anyone have a preference on these for Carbon wheels?

Also I’ve heard that you should change out the SwissStop pads before going back to your training wheels so you don’t transfer gunk from your training wheels back to your carbon rims via the sticky SwissStop pad.

Depends on the rims.

Corima pads work great on corima and lew rims. Decent on Nimbles.
Yellows work better on Zipps from what I have experienced.

I like my yellow SwissStop pads, they work well.

Some people change them out, and some don’t. If you do leave them on for both I would just check them and wipe them down when changing wheels to make sure there is nothing on them that will damage your carbon braking surface.

I’ve heard SwisStops are hard to get.

Where is your source?

Thank you

I get them from a LBS (La Bicicletta) here in Toronto. They have an online store. www.labicicletta.com …or…

There’s a review of them on Cyclingnews.com that gave the SwissStop Yellow high marks:

I haven’t tried them yet. The Corima’s have worked okay for me in the past – slightly more predictable on carbon rims. Trying the Zipps right now which seem to work pretty well.

I use the SwisStop yellows and leave them on. Wipe them off before switching to my 404’s. They’ve worked great for me.
