Corima 3-spoke

Anyone here use a Corima 3-spoke? Likes/dislikes? Smoothness of bearing vs. others? I have a Corima 4 spoke & it seems just fine for any race, but interested in the Corima 3-spoke (aside from having to order it from out of country). I have Zipps but they’re not the only game in town anymore (HED & smaller brands).

Yes it is a lovley wheel. My only issue is that they are slightly warped by a mm or so. I keep having to adjust my brakes to stop parts of wheel touching. Is this normal. Should I return them both and expect perfection?

Zipp claims a tight tolerance of like .0000000infinity (joking), but check to see what Corima promises. If it is .99 mm or better, yah, return it. I really like my 4-spoke Corima & will be in the market in a year or two for another. While happy with the 4-sp, I’m thinking 3-sp. But heard lots of good things about HED 3-sp too. There is Xentis & some others out there. I recall the days of Zipp 3000…very cool looking. But Corima does have an excellent line of wheels, they just don’t have regular distribution in any stores I’ve seen lately.

Hi Rocky,

Thanks for your help. Yes did my PB bike time by 7 minutes at Honolulu Triathlon 2 weeks ago. They work and feel great, plus make helicopter sounds… But as a triathlete always looking for perfection, so a little curious as to should it be perfect, a little out. Not sure as my first aero wheels. I think your answer is that there is always going to be some tolerence. I will check and see what Corima claim.

Regards,

Chris
