I’m on the marked for a pair of wheels for Ironman mainly.
I like the corima 3 spoke a lot, but im having a hard time finding any test or info of the wheel set. What do you think about the set compared to the famous HED H3?
On the other hand I can get the Token C85 at a super price. Any experience on this deep rims set compared to the 3 spokes?
I have the Corima 3-spoke HM front tubular and it’s fantastic. Compared to the HED (which I used before getting) it subjectively feels much stiffer, easier to spin up, and the stock bearings feel way smoother. As for weight and aero, I can’t tell any difference. Price-wise the HEDs are way cheaper, of course, plus the Corimas are really hard to find in the U.S. (no distributor). However, if you’re willing to be patient and look hard enough, every now and then an opportunity surfaces. Bottom line: super wheels, ridden in the past by the likes of Chris Boardman, and I’m glad racers in this country haven’t noticed by and large. Means you can get them on the cheap (assuming, once again, that you can find them).
