Below are a few pics of a prototype QR bike we did recently, it is basically a Lucero in all white paint with graphite colored graphics. We had created 2 of these, and one of them is now in the hands of Linsey Pickel of the Timex team. She will work the competition on this QR Dulce bike.
My question though is, what do you slowtwitchers here think about this paint job?
The concept is great!! I donāt like the ācurveyā stuff. Its a tad too feminine for me. But as I said, the concept of the paint job, within the white background is great!!
I love it. Of course, Iāve been accused of liking āchick colorsā on my bikes (Baby Blue with Orange is still my racing color of choice for uniforms).
Hook a bruthaā up and Iāll qualify for Kona next year at CdA on that bikeā¦And you can take that to the bank:-)
I think itās beautiful. I wish that the bar tape was silver though. Or that there were a few more red accents in the paint job to help tie it in. But I really like the white!!!
How about some more shots of Linsey Pickel. Damn - great tan, pretty smile, nice legs and feet - can we see a little more of that?
Oh, and, not bad paint job but I really am distracted by the hotty. Maybe if you want the bike to hold my attention you can hold it instead of the eye magnet.
i think it looks sweet! and by the way Linseyās dad Tom was my Boss for a year or so very nice family, and itās really cool to see Linsey doing so well in the tri world i know sheāll do very well for you.
Dig it. Maybe some color on the lettering to help tie the frame in with the rest of the bike. Maybe drop the swirly stuff on the seat tube and chain stay. But overall, I like it a lot.
i fucking love it! You got some stuff on there but itās not overpowering the bike. THe last few years, bikes have been getting too āflashyā and ābusyā and cluttered looking for me.
The āswirlā graphics may skew towards the femme side (and Iād assume you sell more bikes to men than women) so from a marketing standpoint that may need to change but as far as color goes I give it a thumbs up! I agree with an earlier post with regards to having more of the secondary accent color (whatever it is) to match accessories with.
I dig itā¦I want oneā¦I have a pair of white Zippās to match
My favorite tri bike to date, used to stare at it on R&A, I think you should release it in the sizes the Lucero come in, including Small 650. So in the next couple of years when I either have the money to buy or the legs to prove to someone else to buy one for me itāll be there.
