I have a Mavic CXP22 rear wheel that I would like to convert to 11 speed. Is this possible and if so what parts would I need?
If it’s a Mavic hub, it’s already 11sp.
All mavic 9/10 are also 11, if you don’t use that giant spacer.

I haven’t removed the cassette yet but looking at it from the back the silver spacer touching the cassette doesn’t look (to the naked eye) any/much different than the silver spacer that touches the 10sp cassette on all my other 10sp wheels. should I be able to see the difference in that spacer easily?
i’m just awaiting delivery of my first 11 speed and i’m hoping to fit a set of mavics that are a couple of years old… i’m reliably informed all mavics fit 11 speeds perfectly if you remove the spacer
The naked eye is less reliable than probing fingers. Why don’t you just remove the cassette and spacer and try it out.

will do that tonight after the rest of my conversion parts get in. the previous poster mentioned “huge” spacer. that led me to believe that it would look vastly larger than the normal 10sp spacer on all my other wheels.
If I remember correctly, I don’t think the CXP-22 came as a complete wheelset from Mavic but instead is just a Mavic rim that can be laced to any standard hub. So you may have a Shimano hub, a campy hub, or some other brand. The hub will dictate what you can do with it. Many hubs can take an 11-speed cassette but may need the wheel redished. Figure out what hub you have and many people on here should be able to let you know what your options are.

This. CXP-22 is the rim (Like CXP-33) not the wheel unit. Specialized uses that rim as the stock wheel on most of their bikes. My 2009 Allez has a CXP-22 and a specialized hub. My 2012 Transition came with the same hub but the CXP-22 rim is slightly different.
My wife’s CAAD 6 came with CXP-22 rims (Same as the Transition) laced to a CAAD branded hub.
The OP needs to tell us what hub he has to answer the question.
