I’ve always heard and been told that the beautiful connex missing link is reusable. But I can’t find any actual verification of that anywhere on the connex site. The KMC link actually says reusable on the package (10 speed). Am I missing something, or is the connex link (like the sram link) not reusable (in the eyes of the manufacturer, that is).
Yes you can reuse them. Make sure to put them on correctly. The heart shape should appear upside down when the chain is on the bottom side of its path.

I know that’s the conventional wisdom, I was just wondering if it was ‘official’ anywhere.

It certainly is and has been as long as they’ve existed. There is no force required to lock them in so they aren’t the least bit distorted or worn when installed or removed. They’re my favorites but are really spendy compared to the other alternatives.

Sweet, thank you, that’s what I was looking for, where was that document?
I haven’t looked at the 10 speed range but I’ve been using a Connex 11SX chain for a while now and I think it’s superior to an 11speed Ultegra or DuraAce Chain.
The finish is excellent which can’t be a bad thing for drive train friction, but also it’s highly corrosion resistant and can easily be taken on and off whenever the need may arise for cleaning, lubrication, transport or maintenance.
In the 11 speed range I expect the cheaper SO chain is probably more equivalent to a Shimano Ultegra chain. The 10speed range has some different options.
