So I got a Zipp 808 powertap wheel last year and I like training with power but don’t want to train every day w/ my 808.
So I have started looking at the options of getting a ‘training’ wheel. From a functional perspective, exclusive of weight, what is the difference between the different Powertap models? If I am putting this on a training wheel, weight is not a primary consideration. Durability, reliability and relative cost would be more important in my mind.
Besides weight, any reason to go with the SL versus the Pro versus the Elite versions?
The ELITE+ doesn’t come with the heart rate monitor strap but the one you have or any other ANT+ strap (e.g. Garmin) would work. See the technical specficiations section on the Saris site. Not sure if the CPU is different or if those features get enabled when you have a HR strap.
