First ST post! Been lurking for a while…
so I’m thinking of joining up for a computrainer class and the only geared bike that I’d bring is my cross trainer. Figured I’d throw a slick 700x 23on the back wheel and go for it. I can leave my knobby on the front wheel right? Obviously not familiar with the product. OT: this kona show is pretty fun.

Your idea of getting a dedicated CT wheel for your cross rig is a good one. You could go a step further and install one of those Continental trainer specific tires on it.
A quick note on gearing: If you intend to run the gammut of Computrainer courses be sure to use a 25 as your largest cog: You’ll want it for the really tough climbs on some of the stock courses in the software such as Athens Olympic Tri course which features a 17% grade.
