I’m interested in purchasing a computrainer but want to wait until the software release that was due this summer is released. Does anyone know if this release has occurred yet? Also, how well does Computrainer run on an Apple running windows?
It was due last winter and no, it is not out.
Was just talking to them a couple of weeks ago and heard that all the testing was pretty much done and they were in the process of going to production, getting the media made, etc.
It’s coming out “soon”. If you go to the racermate forums, they’ve been saying for the past two weeks they are doing the final testing on new registration functions and getting some test CD’s out to users.
Realistically, I’d say December the rate they are going (looks like they fired part of their dev group for the new multi-rider features). They are releasing a dumb down version, which is what they should have done first, then adding updates as they go.
Depends what Mac you have. I run it on a netbook with an external monitor and have no issues with the current version, but it looks like the new version pretty much kills anything with an integrated graphics card.
The release is being pretty ridiculous. Months and months late and they keep saying “soon”. Now they’re talking about it’s done it’s done, but were waiting on this or that. Yet, weeks keep passing by with no real change. I’m glad I have ErgVideos since I haven’t opened up my computrainer software that was written cira 1973 lately. Sounds like they aren’t even letting us download, but shipping us a CD? Talk about silly in this day in age.
Email them. I did. Yeah they sponsor a ton of pros but word of mouth is hurring them.
