yeah, not gonna finish that sentence. I was at the local pharmacy/drug store today picking up my EPO/Roids (actually penicillin, but (ethical issues aside) envisioning the pills being PEDS that will get me up Alpe de Huez in 45 minutes is a lot more exciting than some rainforest fungus that will make the pain from my root canal issues go away) when I happened upon some compression socks.
The price? $5.99

Yeah. And they weren’t just some shitty cotton socks either. They were a synthetic blend, black, and completely absent of logos/printing.
Double

Anybody have any experience with using these, as opposed to shelling out 10x that for some Sugoi/2XU/Zensah/Zoot nonsense? (note: I’ve done the expensive compression socks before. Results were ehhhhhh, but for $6 I could be tempted to try em again…)
my not really educated guess is that they will be JUST as effective
that is to say
not at all!
=)
yeah I’ve seen those, somebody told me they are great for travel and recovery. However not the best for running as they create “hot spots” and give you some nice blisters.
those are the first ones I wore. Just as tight as some of the zoots, cep, etc, better than SLS ones I have. I did some runs in them no problem, except I really looked like a dork with black socks. No hot spots etc. They are tight so they don’t rub.

If you look further on the rack you might find they sell a womans version in white. I’m 6’0" and they fit just fine. Slightly less dorky.
