What services have you used for getting remote company branded merchandise made, sold, and shipped to consumers?
What businesses have you thought “that was a great experience” when you’ve purchased other companies’ merchandise through them as a third party seller?
We’ve received a few requests for company merch. I know nothing about this. I know there are more than a few small business &/or startup owners on ST, so I’ll ask here first.
My wife and I are founders and we live in an RV. We don’t have a warehouse or time/resources for shipping, but I’d love to have folks be able to buy bike bottles with “Speed Nectar” on them. And I kind of personally want bike bottles with Speed Nectar on them
I’d love to have them be quality (large!) bottles that I actually enjoy using, too.
So his company does a lot of uniforms and fan gear for high school sports teams. That being said, he’s still with his original company Proforma who makes the majority of corporate gear around the US. Not sure exactly what you’re looking for, but if you want his number just DM me and I’ll pass it along.
I put on 2 small races the same weekend and give 2 (!!) water bottles to all competitors . . . I use http://seacoastbottles.com/ They are very nice bottles and the company does a great job printing with lots of options. Much more affordable than the awesome Specialized bottles.
For t-shirts, backpacks, gym bags and any other printed or embroidered items I use a good friend who was a former USA Nat’l team cyclist. I can put you in touch if you like.
What else do you need . . . I’ve sourced it all over the years. Note that there a difference in the big company volumes, which is NOT me. I work in the 100s of items not 1000s . . . that would be a different avenue.
Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
Your issue isn’t sourcing the products, it’s distribution.
Finding products to have customized is easy, warehousing and shipping when living in an RV not as easy. You’ll need a third party partner to handle the logistics which’s means giving up a percentage of the revenue. The question becomes will it be worth the time and effort
We won’t be in it for the revenue on the product sales. I just want happy app users to have “Speed Nectar” or “Saturday” branded bottles available to them. Goal for the bottle sales would be purely to cover costs. (and to get users good bottles they love)
I could be naively optimistic that even with hiring out for 3PL, we’ll be able to cover costs. I did just learn what 3PL meant, and that it was something that existed, yesterday.
