Comments and suggestions on Jagwire braking & shifting products

Your comments and suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I’ve currently got Jagwire on my road bike, and have had it on my tri bike as well. Jagwire is cheap and works well for me. I’d recommend it.

My road bike is the coated jagwire race stuff I think and my tri bike is jagwire on the brakes and a mix of shimano bulk stuff and jagwire for shifting. I like the jagwire stuff a lot. I changed around cable routing which is why shifting is now mixed and didn’t notice much of a different so I Can’t say it is superior but I have no issues with it.

Both my tri bikes have Jagwire cables for shifting and braking. I like it and have no plans to use anything else.

I run Jagwire Road Pro (formerly Racer) on both of my road bikes. I’ve been very happy with it. It’s not the nicest/most expensive stuff out there but I think it’s a good performer for the price. (Can find deals on amazon etc) I really like the flexible brake cable section on the lever end of the housing and the kit comes with lots of end caps/ferrules, rubber donuts etc. Lots of colors too if that’s your thing.

Their cables and housing are perfectly fine. I credit their brake pads for making me a better descender when they melted halfway down the Tourmalet a few years ago. I learned in a hurry how to stay off the brakes on the rest of that descent.

I could not get your Jagwire shifter mounts http://autobus.cyclingnews.com/photos/2007/tech/shows/eurobike07/eurobike076/Jagwire_bar_end_shifter_mounts.jpg to work well with the latest dura ace shifters.

Are they no longer compatible? Is there a trick?

I always liked these things, though they are less awesome now that the dura ace shifters are lighter to begin with.
