I’m in Columbus visiting family. Does anyone out there have suggestions for decent cycling routes or areas, preferably with low traffic? I’m in Upper Arlington but fine with driving elsewhere to start, and am looking to go 50ish miles. Thanks in advance.
If you want to drive, you can head out to New Albany or Hoover Dam. If you just want to ride from UA, take Fishinger Road west, cross the Scioto river, then take a right on Dublin at the top of the hill. You can go North on Dublin for a while, or take a left after a few miles onto Davidson. If you take this all the way until it dead ends, you can take a left and go about a quarter mile and then take a right onto the bike path. This probably goes for a good 6-7 miles, but once you get to the end, there are a lot of empty country roads to ride on and you can go pretty much wherever you want from there. I’ll check to see if I have this posted on mapmyride.

You could ride 50 miles on the Olentangy River multi-use trail if you ride all the way north to Worthington then all the way south to Berliner Park south of downtown. If you’re willing to drive an hour, head to the Hocking Hills or the Mohican State Park area for plenty o’ hills and low traffic roads. Enjoy riding the Cbus!
Great suggestions. Thanks!
