Cold weather hand rash

Hi,

I’m new here so I’m not sure how this works, but I will just post my concern. As the weather has been getting colder, I’ve noticed that near the end of my runs, usually within a few minutes of finishing, the back of my hands become all red and have a burning sensation. It’s not from frostbite or anything since it isn’t that cold yet and I wear gloves until my hands are too warm. I’d appreciate any feedback!

Look up “Reynauds Syndrome” and see if you have some of the other symptoms.
.

Could be Raynaud’s talk to your doc.

I Don’t have the red hands problem but I do have cracked and bleeding knuckles, some of them. Currently my right outside.

But, this isn’t unusual. I live where it is very dry and can have cracked and bleeding knuckles in the middle of summer as well.

I love going down to Mexico where it is nice and humid. It all clears up.

In the meantime, I just use lots of hand cream of different kinds to keep things at bay.

Thanks for the quick response, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue. Reynaud’s seems to be a much more serious issue. Mine is simply a small burning sensation accompanied with reddened skin.
