I know saddle preferences are different for everyone but just thought I would try to get some feedback from larger men… since I am one.
I am 6’0" and currently weight 235 lbs. I plan on dropping to around 210 for my A race later this year. I have never measured my sit bones
I have been riding the adamo road on a p2c for months now and longer rides are uncomfortable on the verge of painfull . I’m thinking about one of the Cobb saddles either Plus or Max.
Can anyone comment on their experience with the plus or max, preferable if you are a taller or heaver guy.
I have an email into Cobb cycling to get their feedback but just thought I would ask some users.
I found the max a bit uncomfortable but they were real cool and honored their refund policy. it had a thin ridge central that kind of hurt my taint. im 6’4 210
6’1" 185 lbs; V-flow Max is plenty comfy; no issues on my TT bike. I’d like to try the road version, as the max is perfectly comfortable, but I do get a little bit of leg rub on the nose of the saddle if I install the V-flow max on my roadie…
5’10 186 lbs here. I have the V-flow max and find that it’s acceptable. Still butt sore after long rides (2.5-3 hrs) but I’m a beginner rider. No hot spots and no numbness. I have the black version, but I think I’d go for white if I did it over.
I’m 260 and have been riding the max since january. I also tried the plus. I do about 110 miles a week at peak.
Even now when I first sit on the max it doesn’t seem auper comfy but after I settle onto it for a mile or two it’s been the best saddle for me for riding aero. (I can ride on pretty much anything if I’m upright) The puls was really comfy at first sit but over long rides I was shifting around too much.
I’m a fan of the V-Flow Plus. I’m 5’10" and currently around 230. No numbness on rides at all, and would say the best thing to wear is tri-shorts. I’ve ridden with bike shorts, and that is about the only time I’ve had any rubbing going on down there.
