Why so many (spoiler) warnings? If the person is on slowtwich you can gaurantee they have already accessed letour.com for results… or any number of cycling news sites.
How many people who tape the stages and watch later don’t already know the results? Pretty much noone. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
From each day here on in, I’ll post the stage winner in the subject of a post. Maybe top 3 and the time gaps if I can fit it.
Spoiler alerts are just acts of courtesy…takes another second to write the word (spoiler) so it’s not a big deal to do. You’re right, most of us know the results before we ever log on to ST every day, but in the off chance they’ve not…
Wondering why it’s such a big deal to you, or is it just a case of trying to create a tempest in a teapot?
Much more important things in the world to take issue with…
Actually we had a number of complaints about posters not giving spoiler warnings in the past few years.
Not everybody has internet access at their job during the day. They come home, crack a beer and are all set to sit down and enjoy the TDF stage on OLN but before they do they decide to check out Slowtwitch for a few minutes.
Then they read who won the stage in the heading. Then they’re totally pissed and post here giving sh*t to the posters who didn’t write “spoiler”.
It’s happened this ways in the past few years.
Keep the “SPOILER” threads active. I posted two TDF threads this week and did.

I’m one. Every morning I tape the live coverage (so I can hear Phil and Paul, rather than Al and Bob), and then my girl and I watch it in the evening. We judiciously avoid espn.com, velonews.com, etc (even cnn.com on big stage days) all day. I was very happy when I realized that st.com had the spolier rule, because it means I have something to do all day waiting to watch le Tour!
