Someone is going to jail. At a minimum, Roger is going to spend million$ in legal fees.
WASHINGTON - The FBI has begun investigating whether Roger Clemens lied to Congress when he denied taking performance-enhancing drugs. FBI agents in Washington opened the case a little more than two weeks after Clemens and Brian McNamee, his former personal trainer, testified at a House committee hearing Feb. 13, each accusing the other of lying. “The request to open an investigation on the congressional testimony of Roger Clemens has been turned over to the FBI and will receive appropriate investigative action by the FBI’s Washington field office,” FBI spokeswoman Debra Weierman said Thursday
Roger’s lawyer should go to jail. The guy is retired, he has made his millions, he had no need to lie to Congress. He should have fessed up like Pettite and he’d be on a fishing boat or a golf course right now enjoying life instead of going through all this. It wasn’t like he didn;t have an example to follow, Barry Bonds HELLOOOOOOO.
Either the guy is so dumb that he thought the Hall of Fame was worth the risk or he has a Get Out of Jail Free card from his buddy Dubya.
After watching all the hearings, I have to say I thought it was Roger doing the lion share of the lying. The only ones who looked worse in those hearings, were the congressmen and women. It was a total joke how this became partisan, and the stupidity of some of the questions and comments were just plain absurd. I used to think that this woman we have here in LA named Maxine Waters was the dumbest politician I ever saw, but she has some real competition now… It is really scary to me that these people are making decisions that affect our daily lives, and our future. And it was pretty equal on both sides, the level of stupidity…
This really bothers me that we are going to spend tax payers money to find out whether someone lied or not.
Don’t our elected officials have anything better to do than chase this BS. Personally don’t care either way.
I do care about health care, deficit, environment, alternative energy, immigration to name a few small causes.

You know, a very wise man once said, “Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, we won’t get fooled again.” Some fools never learn.
Personally, I am more interested if Bush and Cheney lied to us about WMDs in Iraq. To waste time and money on this is another distraction - the old Roman “bread and circuses.”

It personally bother me that during wartime, Congress takes it upon itself to investigate whether professional athletes used drugs 5 years ago.
Is there nothing more important than this?
Perhaps they can investigate drug use among popular rock bands from the early 90s?
How did this whole steroid/proffessional sports thing become a Congressional investigation, and what is the jurisdiction?
Really, I agree, why in the hell are our congress members involved in this at all? I am mourning all the tax dollars that are being wasted over this, and all the real problems that are being ignored.
