Cleats feel loose in pedals

I have had my pedal/shoe combination for a year now and have started to notice in the past two weeks, that they are feeling looser now when I pedal. I don’t know if I have become more aware during my pedalling, or is something wearing out? The cleat maybe - do you replace those annually? Or is there a way to tighten the spring in the pedal? I am using “Keo Easy” system. This was suggested to me as I was just getting back into cycling… last time I rode regularly, I was using leather straps to hold my shoes in the toe clips

thx.

Look cleats will wear out. Annual replacement is a good idea. There are covers made for them that you can use to protect the cleat when your walking around (where most the wear comes from)

Just take them in to the shop and put a new cleat next to your old cleat. Usually the thickness is noticeable, especially in the back.

They can break when they’re worn. I’ve snapped more then one look cleat.

Your cleats are worn. Replace them.
