yawn.

bandwidth snatcher
.

New P3 looks great, but they can’t be serious with those wheels on the P4.

Those color combos on the P3 and P4 are awesome.

the P4 was already hideous, now that color/wheel combo makes it even less attractive.

2700 for Ultegra SI???

Bye bye P1
.

Cervelo used to always show Tri bikes with a disk rear…odd they dont anymore.

Gee … I wonder who makes those wheels on the P4?

Why do they need to offer so many road bikes? Are the differences between all those frames really meaningful?

Why do they need to offer so many road bikes? Are the differences between all those frames really meaningful?

  1. Because the really big market for Cervelo now is the road market

  2. Yes, if you ride the different road bikes, you will notice a difference. Perhaps not in a spin around the block type test ride but if you can get out longer, and do a a bunch of different things on the bikes, you will notice some key differences.

I would love to ride a Cervelo…aero, light and sexy to look at…but I cannot for the life of me ride a bike with such a short head tube. I would need a steerer tube about 1 foot long to ride one of these. I took a few minutes and rode one at the dealer last year and the handle bar drop is just insane…I would need to be made out of rubber to ride such a frame.

Interesting, the P3 gets the P4’s fork. This seems to be the only meaningful difference I can detect in their entire line-up. Myabe they are trying to differentiate the models a little bit more aero-wise (not sure that is a word). I actually like the P3 and P2 paint jobs this year, the R3 on the other hand…
As for the P4 paint-job, I have one thing to say to Cervelo. Really??? That is the best you could do for your flagship bike? I bashed Felt’s line-up for essentially standing pat, now it’s Cervelo’s turn. Keep on standing still Cervelo (and Felt) that bullseye you have on your chest is getting shot full of arrows. The other manufacturers are beating you at your own game of design AND marketing. Like SuperDave said and I agree completely, it is getting crowded at the top.

So the P2 is now $2800 for a 105 build and $3000 for Ultegra? Did the P2 frame change from the '08 models?

I think that it was taken from a Euro site (so price is in Euros for the Euro market). Notice all of the campy options…

which means it would be even more in USD.

It’s probably USD, which means a hike of $300 bucks

looks like an '09 P2 Ultegra SL is 2700.

what wheels come with that p4? lol

Lot’s of mislabeled pics there. I saw more than two pics labeled as campy builds that clearly had a DA 7900 crank.

So no more P1/P2SL, huh? sniff Maybe my 2006 anodized model will become a bit of a collectors item? And a $500 price bump on the S1? I can’t imagine moving to the Ultegra crank over the Gossamer merits that much of a premium.

Generally prices in different markets (currencies) are not just scaled from one to another. I would be very surprised if there was much of a price change from '09, esp. considering that some (Felt) are lowering prices…

The prices on that Dutch site could be based upon frame build ups (esp. with the campy and 105 options) so, they might be taking a frame and adding everything which would be a lot more $$$ then the stock build that we see here in the US.
