There’s some scammers working the classifieds pages.
They respond to WTB posts via Messages sayin they have items which is are just attempts to scam people.
I think the Messages function should be restricted the same as posting Classifieds… you have to post 5 times over 14 days.
Also restrict responses to Classifieds with the same rule.

I second this! I’m sick of this. Also folks making burner accounts to scam Classifies and also troll the LR.
For LR or Classifieds access there needs to be a steeper barrier to entry. I dare say you need 50 posts in Slowtwitch total before access to either allowed.
Then notify ST forum members that it is an instant ban to bypass the rule by private messaging for Classifieds if you haven’t already been approved for it.
It’s getting out of hand and it’s a very simple forum feature a LOT of other forums implement. Shoot, some even make you pay a membership fee AFTER reaching the post count to be a Classified member! Some even do that for access to the “off topic” posting area.
There are some banned users abusing this in LR and some scammers abusing it in Classifieds.
We are looking into both of these.
