If Carmichael was truly Armstrong’s coach, how come his name is not mentioned anywhere in all of this? He made millions off of the name I guessing, and a google news search really brings up nothing now.

I believe that the correct term is “beard”. Carmichael put on a show as Lance’s ‘coach’ to distract everyone from Dr. Ferrari.
i believe Carmichael was ban from cycling long long long time ago, for the same reason

What? dude, do a fact check. that is 100% untrue. I suspect ST editor will delete that post.
You made that up!

Didn’t know about this case, looks like it may have been filed too late, but it is going to get some press regardless. This is the telling sentence related to this thread;
That other U.S. coach remains unnamed in the suit, but former U.S. national team coach Chris Carmichael reportedly settled out-of-court with plaintiffs in the case in late 2000 or early 2001. Carmichael has repeatedly declined to comment on questions about an out-of-court settlement.
Not really an admission of guilt, but does bring up some questions that never got answered.
He’s probably out putting a FastSpin ™ on his story.
The article is a year old. Probably won’t be getting any new press.

Carmichael is still employed by Bicycling mag. Word is that Strickland et al have made the argument that because of his likely doping of juniors and acting as cover for Lance (allegedly) that he shouldn’t be dispensing coaching advice, but I guess the higher ups felt/feel they’re still getting play from his Armstrong connection. At some point that won’t be the case anymore I’d reckon if USADA wins.
This article, written by an avowed anti-Armstrong guy still makes some valid points about Carmichael, and admits his own bias in the article (which I always like for helping me to figure out where the writer is coming from) http://www.flammecast.com/the-back-of-the-peloton-talleyrand-has-a-new-name-carmichael.html
Granted its hard not to be connected to doping somehow in cycling; Garmin, the anti-doping team is run by a guy who cycled with Lance and admitted doping publicly (although he doesn’t do it in front of cameras much) and has several former dopers both caught and some who are suspected.

“Strock, now a medical doctor and a member of the faculty at the University of Indiana Medical School…”
There is no such school named University of Indiana. Dear author, please do your research before you publish a story…
Interesting article…I had no idea Burke was tied to doping in the 84 Olympics. He was one of he pioneers of the Human Performance lab at Ball State where I went to school.
