$5000.00? I’ll pass.
Uh yeah totally ---- no way he’ll ever sell them at that price. The complete bike those were attached to probably wouldnt go for that much.
Boardman set a world record on 650c? I don’t recall joined up aerobars either. Value decreased considerably divorced from the frame.
I don’t think that is the bar fork combo from boardmans corima. Head tube is too long to have fit on that frame, which had a hidden top headset race. The posts are too high and too thick. Bar shouldn’t be joined at the centre. Wrong wheel size. Etc
Plus, there is no way someone would sell the fork separate from the rest of the bike.
well that pic says it all
.
It’s theoretically possible that these were off of a back up bike, first prototype, etc… But without providing any documentation it’s unlikely.
But then they wouldn’t be the from Chris boardmans world record bicycle, would they?
I’m pretty sure that he only rode corima for that one record attempt. Everything else was hotta, lotus, eddy Merckx, and the British frames he rode before going pro.
Another photo of the world record bike:
But here is a pic of Boardman with similar bars ---- same amount of height of the arm pads:

Still not the same as the ebay ones…
If I am going to get custom aerobars, I am going to Rob at English to get them. And problaby get the frame, fork and aerobars all for that price.
I sent him a question and here’s the reply:
It was a prototype of the fork for his record. I could acquire it by a cycling president club. Like I said to another ebayer, It was never sell in bike shop.
