Cholest Off?

Has anyone out there ever used Cholest Off by Nature Made?

I have borderline cholesterol and I’ve been incorporating foods to lower it, but they also raise my carb load. My wife found Cholest Off at Wal Mart and I did some searches and didn’t find that much about negative side effects and it seemed to lower peoples’ cholesterol with much change in diet.

Since my cholesterol is more heridity than anything… being a fit triathlete doesn’t do anything to lower my count. It probably keeps me from going into the danger zone.

Just seeing if anyone out there has had experience with this product in the multisport world.

What foods are you eating to lower it? And have you considered the fact that increasing your carb load might be actually hurting your efforts?

Orange juice fortified with plant sterols.
1 1/2 cups of plain oatmeal.
bananas
Handful of walnuts/almonds (unsalted) a day.
Try to get 2 servings of fish (wouldn’t affect carbs)
Cook items in a little bit of extra virgin olive oil a couple times a week.

It’s not a huge increase but it adds up when I try and get my snacks in too throughout the day and it’s also tough with the busy home life.
