Personally; I believe Chickfila is better and I refuse to eat at Popeyes. Aint no way in hell anything in this world is better than a god damn Original Chickfila chicken sandwich LET ALONE some chicken minis.
#InFact: I believe that during the last supper, Jesus himself took the original Chickfila chicken sandwich and split it amongst his disciples, and behold, the chicken mini. Now, Im not a christian man, but whats Popeyes even got for a mythical origin story?? - nothing.
edit: yes for those of you who didn’t see it before I was called out I accidentally said Bojangles BY ACCIDENT. Either way, my formulated opinion still stands.

Vote #2 for Chickfila. Who the f**k puts mayo on the chicken sandwich?
I’ll throw Zaxby’s into the mix. We don’t have them up here in PA (yet) but my daughter is at school in Macon and we “discovered” the joy of Zaxby’s down there. It’s now a mandatory stop whenever we make the drive to or from GA.
When Hurricane Michael struck the Carolinas in 2018, even houses of worship were not spared.
A local television station interviewed a local Jacksonville, NC woman from asked how the loss of churches in the area had affected their lives.
Without hesitation, the woman replied, “I don’t know 'bout all them other peoples, but we ain’t been to Church’s in years. We gets our chicken from Popeye’s.”
My son would eat Chick Fil A daily if he could and we end up going there as a family about 3-4 times a month. I do have a weakness for sweet tea, as my formative years were spent in the South, and that is a good place to get my fix.
I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at Popeye’s and lack of supply of their chicken sandwiches for the next month- and the silly stuff surrounding them having a limited supply- will likely not change that so I can’t offer a comparison.
In addition to a very good chicken sandwich and the aforementioned sweet tea, they have set a high bar for restaurant service and creating a welcoming environment that has not been duplicated in their market space.
Zaxby’s is pretty good, but just a knock-off of Guthrie’s. The founders of Zaxby’s took everything right off Guthrie’s menu, including the sauce.
Word was that the Guthrie’s folks didn’t want to franchise(their lose), and the Zaxby’s guys were ambitious and just started their own version. If you get a chance you should try Guthrie’s.
Popeyes for sides Boajangles for Chicken but eating either of these places over the below
Raising Cane’s
Chick Fil A
KFC
Chick Fil A is milquetoast and KFC sucks.
I love Chick-Fil-A but have tried Raising Cain’s a few times while traveling. Their chicken is delicious and wish it was available in my area. I can’t figure out their dipping sauce though.
No love for Church’s Chicken?
A guy that used to work with me, and loved some fried chicken, called Church’s Chicken “a poor man’s Popeye’s”. That still cracks me up
