I’ve been reading Born to Run (great book - just makes you want to run!) and the running tribes featured are fueled by Chia Seeds soaked in water with sugar. They are supposed to have all kinds of terrific nutritional values and am thinking about putting them in a special needs bag - I’m wondering if anyone has tried it or knows a lot about them for endurance nutrition. I’m not sure they’d go through a bidon nozzle and how they’d go in the stomach?
I have played around with eating (drinking really) them for some workouts over the winter and they seemed pretty good. Nothing miraculous, but no problems. All my winter workouts have been pretty short though, so I am looking forward to testing them for some longet workouts as the weather warms. The only problem I forsee if the amount of fiber, but most of it is soluble fiber so I am hopeful that it will not cause problems.
I’m bald, will it help with that too?
I was just about to say that! I havent had green hair since the 80’s. Come to think of it I havent had hair since the 80’s!
