Chia seeds as recovery/workout nutrition?

Does anyone eat chia seeds as a pre- or post- workout food? A friend suggested it to me as they are high in protein and omega 3 fatty acids. Just wondering if anyone has tried them and has any opinions/suggestions. Thanks!

I have not but they are supposed to be super good for you as well as energy boosting… Figure ill start trying them out in the winter during training…

Yes, I have been using them for the past 3 months, and they seem to really work. Mix up a 1/3 cup of dry chia seeds with 2 cups of water and store in refrigerator. I’ll take 1 tablespoon after training, and 1 before bed. Doesn’t taste like anything, and like I said, so far so good.

Not saying it’s magic or placebo, but a chia fresca is really refreshing. Mix 8-12 oz water, 3 tsp chia seeds, juice of 1 lime, and 1 tsp sugar (or none at all). Tasty.

Chia seeds…is that sora like a ChiaPet abortion that we drink? Why do you hate life?

I started eating them a few month ago!!!

tried them, no noticeable ergogenic effects. They’re very high in fiber, so watch out for the side effects…

Do i have to scrape them off the little piggy?
