Anyone have any experience with frame quality and ride characteristics of Chapter2 bikes?
Bump for the Southern Hemisphere crowd…
I have a Chapter2 AO and it’s been awesome. Quality frame, and seems to be able to take anything I throw at it (which is a lot as its my winter/gravel bike). I’m on a tri team that has a road team as well, and, for the most part, they race on the Rere and I haven’t heard of any issues with them.
Thanks for input. I looked at AO too before getting my Ventum GS1, looks like a great gravel rig.
My buddy owns a Rere and AO. He seems to be pretty happy with both.
Great, thanks!
I bought a Rere rim brake frame last year and built it up with Ultegra Di2. I really like the ride compliance without it being harsh. Cam Nicholls, an Australian cycling YouTuber, did a video in 2019 on Chapter2. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60Zaa75Imzw). It’s worth a watch. Chapter2 has been good to work with in procuring the bike and when a part was missing they sent it out two-day DHL. No regrets here.
can’t speak at all to quality. but, i saw a rere built up (in that great black and celeste combo) at a shop near me, and man - what a beautiful, beautiful bike.
Totally agree they make beautiful frames. Lots of attention to detail, check out the downtube of my AO (that is otherwise a glossy black)
And yes, I matched my bottle cages to the green design!
Yeah, their paint schemes look great. Looking at the Huru as a climbing bike for CO, the black/green/purple one looks really unique!
I think there is some tie up with Neil Pryde bikes/ windsurfing kit.
Either they’re brothers or one is an offshoot of the other company.
(I could also be completely wrong!)
From what I’ve seen and heard they’re both good bits of kit
Mike Pryde is the son of Neil. Mike was doing the bikes at Neil Pryde, but the Prydes sold out of the windsurfing business, so C2 is the next chapter.
