I saw an interview recently where he laid out his plan for the program. NFL caliber everything, I think he used the phrase “pipeline to the NFL.”
I didn’t hear anything about a national championship.

I do not see it working. He was not liked by NFL players because of his gruff demeanor and caustic tongue. How is he going to recruit top talent? And with the portal, how is he going to keep them?

Same. I don’t see him as a guy that “develops young men” (like Deion), but more like someone that expects players’ to make the plays - as their job. Better suited to an NFL team than college. It’ll be interesting to see how things turn out.
That’s what position coaches are for…He’s basically the CEO of the program (like most HCs)…With all the NiL and portal bullshit he may thrive using his NFL experience
I doubt this will be successful. Much of his so-called greatness was due to one player. When that player left, his team became very mediocre. That player then won a Super Bowl with another team, so it’s not like he made the player great, but rather the player made him seem great.

It’s interesting that he landed in the NCAA and not the NFL. I guess they’re all flush with great coaches up there.
