Now before you yell at me for changing anything before a race, hear me out.
I ride a road bike with clip ons. I have pushed the seat forward and dropped the bars to acheive a pretty good steep setup. I will be riding the Old Stage in the Boulder Peak on Sunday.
Should I slacken the seat angle back to aid my climbling for he race? Will this even help, or should I stay with my improvised 77.5 deg setup?
Will moving back also help the stability on the very fast descent?
The bike course at BP not only requires some hill climbing abilty, but also really requires some conventional TT ability. If you’re confortable with the TT position you have set up, I would just go with it. No one will be in TT position going up the hill, but once you crest, you will want the advantage of the aero position all the way back to the Res.
I’d say don’t change it, don’t stress it, and just go out and ride it!
