I am in need of some help determining what I should order for the Champion System Elite Tri suit. I used their sizing information online and compared the measurements of my size small DeSoto ITU suit and their measurements say I am a large. I have some doubts that if a size small DeSoto fits me, that I am a large in Champion Systems. I am 5’9" and weigh between 135-140. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It’s the one-piece, right? I’m 5’10, 140 and have a small coming to me in the next week or so. If nobody replies sooner, I can let you know how it fits.

At 5’9 135lbs, I doubt you are a large in CS apparel. I found their suits to be very true to size. That being said, there is a pretty big difference between their small and medium. Their small is very small. My guess is that you would probably be a medium. I’m 5’11 165 and I wear a medium in CS trisuits. They are great trisuits, the best on the market in my opinion. Great Choice!

Which tri suit do you use? Is it the Elite?
I race mostly in the apex blade tri suit but I have an elite as well. I have mediums in both. They obviously don’t fit the same way. The elite is incredibly form fitting. It is an elite suit that is made for elite triathletes so it is not the standard tri-suit (fit wise) that will fit the “normal” way. Sorry to pry, but is there a specific reason that you are looking at the Elite tri-suit? Are you doing ITU racing? If you are nervous at all about sizing you can request samples from CS. They have awesome customer service.
I am 5’11" and about 148, the medium champsys suit fits me very well. There seems to be enough pull at the shoulders to make me think it would still fit someone a couple inches shorter than me. I believe it is the apex however, not the elite.

I am getting elite due to the lack of pad and i prefer back zippers. I would request samples but we are in a rush for the order. We are hoping to have the clothing by the middle of May for a race. Do you wear mediums in other brands of clothing as well? I have small Pearl PRO suit and a DeSoto ITU suit in a small and they seem fine.
ok perfect. Yea I wear a medium in other clothing brands too. I don’t have any experience with either the Pearl Pro suit or the DeSoto ITU so unfortunately I can’t help you out there. Too bad about the samples but I completely understand you need to get them in time for a race. They do have a CS express program that delivers the apparel in 2 weeks. Costs more money but this way you might have time to get some samples and make sure of fit. Have you reached out to anyone at Champion System? They have unbelievable customer service and they might be able to help you more at comparing the sizes. If you think you will be fine in the small than you can go with that, but given the elite fit of the suit you might be better off getting the medium. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. I am 6’ 165 and wear a Large in all their 1pc suits. Chances are you are most likely a Small
I wear champion systems gear and use the elite tri suit. I am 6’ and 180 lbs. I usually wear a large in almost everything (when speedo had suits, I wore a large, other companies I did the same). The last two years I wore a medium, a size down to get tighter fit. The large would work, but the medium created more compression/tighter feel, which I prefer. This year I got a large as they told me they updated their elite suits and they have more compression (and are getting great reviews from the athletes) and I should not go down a size, so I have a large coming. It should be here sometime this week, so I can let you know the fit.
Do not get a Large. The legs on that suit will swallow you whole unless you’re built like Starykowicz.
I’m 5’7, ~150, and have either a small or a medium–I’ll check when I get home. You want a TIGHT fit on these so that you can race without a swim skin.
This is the rear zip ITU suit that they say fits quite small? I’m 6’1" 165lbs and the XL fits as good anything else that CS makes… so quite poorly, the proportions on their tri suits are goofy.
I wear a medium in Desoto/Castelli/LG/Sugoi stuff.

Just to let you know, the small fits me perfectly. I do have to be a bit careful putting on because the top half is really snug, but that’s how a race kit should fit.
