Probably this subject has been discussed but if not, any good products (not bodyglyde) to prevent chaffing on long rides (inner groin)? I have used petroleum jelly but it doesn’t seem to hold for 100 miles, same than bodyglyde.

Use a proper chamois cream. I am partial to Assos but any of the products out there on the market are going to be way better than body glide or petroleum jelly.
I get pretty bad chafing after 40 miles or so. Just switched to Buttonhole chamois cream. Seems to help a bit.
Might be your shorts also. I bought a pair of Castelli shorts but haven’t had a chance to try them yet. Others hear have recommended them.
Chamois cream.

Proper fitting shorts and Assos Creme for me. I’ve done multiple 100+ mile rides and 6-7 hour training sessions with no issues.
Petroleum jelly breaks down seat pad and Lycra material.
When things get soggy, maybe if you can swing a looped course by your house, just change kits. Did that this week on a 3 loop 112 mile ride, decided to just swap kits out, re-lube with Bag Balm & on my way. Otherwise, try a superior short like DeSoto 400 Mile, seems to be my go to for long rides, most comfortable–but still, can get wet easily on a hot day–but seems to chaffe less than other shorts.
One of the things to consider is that things like chamois butter and other lubricants don’t work on some of the pads made out of highly technical fabrics. So check with the manufacturer of the shorts you are using.
Another few thing to keep in mind:
You typically want your shorts to be snug, almost a bit too snug, and it is better to be too snug than too loose. Garments that are worn snug will stay against the skin and not chafe you.Chafing and raising is typically caused by garments that are worn too loose as the fabric will rub against the skin.
If I can answer any questions for you about De Soto products, please let me know.
I use your Forza shorts exclusively. Any chamois cream you recommend? I’ve been using DZ Nuts with pretty good success, but I feel like I need to reapply about 3/4 of the way through a 100 mile ride, depending on heat/humidity outside.
I may be biased as Rubys Lube sponsors my team but I’ve tried it this year and have no need to look any further ! Regardless of team supporters I would only recommend products I use and believe in!

How does one put the lube on during a 70.3? During an IM you can reach down below in the changing tent. No privacy in a 70.3. I’ve used body glyde and Assos because they tend to stay on during the swim. Any other brands that work?

What products do you recommend that are compatible with your shorts?
I’ve found any decent chamois butter stays on well enough in the swim to offer at least some benefit on the bike. With a good bike fit and a snug suit that’s always been good enough for me, certainly for a 70.3. Alternatively wouldn’t have any issue reaching down below in transition area, can be done without any nudity and there are many worse sights to be seen at your average triathlon!
