Hello I recently purchased a p2c frameset with its fork. I also own an Oval Concept A900 aero fork and was wondering if you all think I should keep my wolf fork or change it to the oval fork for my cervelo ride? I am not sure about the weight difference or aerodynamic difference. I have asked a company if the oval is compatiable and they claim it is.
This is a newbie here and would greatly appreciate your ideas.
here is the link for the oval concept fork to include the weight http://ovalconcepts.com/productsGenereDett.php?idGenere=5&idCat=1
A900 JetStream Carbon TT Fork
thank you

I think that fork has benifits when run with a very deep wheel (over 60mm), but there is some argument about the vents pointing the right way.
I’m not sure about the rake or the weight, but from a pure bling factor it looks really cool.
Have you got a tri-spoke up front?
The wheel I run with it for training at least is a Bontranger Aero (Deep Section w/ Bladed Spokes)
Not quite what you mean by a tri-spoke but if the previous post with my wheels on it does not help I will try to post of pick of my fork and front end on my old bike to show.
thanks for all the help
chris
No, sorry, the reason I ask is that the split forks ‘suck’ air out of the gap between the forks thus the pressure ‘woosh’ that you get with trispokes isn’t as strong and therefore wastes less energy.
For standard wheels, I’d imagine that the improvement is lower.
therefore what your saying is that if I was to use like a tri spoke HED that the oval concept fork would be better than the wolf fork?
thanks
I personally think so, based on my understanding of how it all works.
Just found this which you might find interesting:
Bear in mind that the data is from Trek though
