I’ve had my Soloist for over a year now, and also have a P2 tri bike. On recent rides the seatposts on both bikes have been slipping, causing me serious knee pain. I had to stop and adjust it four times during today’s 176-km. ride, but it just kept slipping.
I have both alloy and carbon seatposts for the Soloist, but use the alloy more frequently, in combination with the brass shim as recommended. Up until this week I’ve never had it slip, but the last few rides it always slips to a certain point and then stops.
Any ideas what to do about the Soloist in particular? The P2’s seatpost design was kinda lame and I’m trying different other brands. I’m more concerned with the Soloist. I haven’t stripped the threads or anything and the collar appears fine so I’m at a loss about what’s happening.
